Moon Taxi’s Tacky XMAS in Birmingham; NYE in Nashville

Fresh off the road from a five night (12/05 – 12/09) run up through the East Coast in support of Matisyahu and his 5th annual Festival of Light Tour. Moon Taxi, the Nashville Tenn. rock band, released one more year end news update of 2010 this evening. As they announced the addition of one more show for this month, as well as finalized details of, and including the supporting acts for their NYE Show.

Moon Taxi Show + Tacky Xmas Contest at WorkPlay This Thursday!
Moon Taxi returns to Birmingham for a show at WorkPlay this Thursday night (12/16) with special guests The Werks, a band you may recall me posting about last month here.  Come celebrate the holiday season with Moon Taxi and $3 Blue Moons.  Plus the guys will be hosting a Tacky Xmas contest–the person with the most outrageous outfit will win 2 tickets to Moon Taxi’s NYE show!  Get tickets today at
www.workplay.com

A very solid special guest addition indeed. The Werks are no slouch of a band in their own right, as you may recall last month’s post here. There is no doubt that they are certain to give the Bham crowd a more than proper opening Werk out (pun intended).

Moon Taxi’s 2nd Annual New Year’s Eve Party!
Moon Taxi returns to Nashville’s Exit/In to ring in 2011!  With loads of surprise guets, special performances, and a second to none visual experience, you will not want to miss this show.  In addition to two sets of Taxi, we are very excited to announce the addition of Nashville’s two finest DJ’s.  DJ Wick-it will open the show and DJ Kidsmeal will be doing a late night set.

The addition of having DJ Wick-It heat things up before Moon Taxi’s 2 New Year’s Eve sets, loaded with surprises, along with DJ Kidsmeal keeping things going late into the night/morning should undoubtedly deliver an ‘Eve’ turned into one nasty ‘Party’.. to say the least.
